Michal is a 2002 graduate from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. He was admitted to the Slovak bar as an advocate in 2006. In addition to being a native Slovak speaker, Michal is also fluent in English and Czech and has a basic command of German.
Michal is one of the founding partners of BEATOW PARTNERS s. r. o.. He previously worked for 8 years at another local law firm (which was one of the Slovak corresponding counsels to Baker & McKenzie) where he held the position of a partner at the time of his departure from the firm.
Michal mainly focuses on banking and finance, corporate matters, real estate and property development and renewable energy projects. He is widely experienced in negotiating commercial leases involving retail and office premises. He has also been involved in a number of due diligence exercises (both pre-acquisition and vendor) and participated in FCPA audits. His experience further includes regulatory and other matters in the pharmaceutical sector, global equity-based compensation and incentive plans, project financing and e-commerce. He has also advised on various cross-border insolvency matters.
