Branislav is a 1996 graduate from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. During his studies at Comenius University, he participated in an international Summer Institute of Law organized by the University of Tulsa College of Law where he attended the course on comparative commercial law. He was admitted to the Slovak bar as an advocate in 2000. In addition to being a native Slovak speaker, Branislav is also fluent in English and Czech and has a basic command of Russian.
Branislav co-founded BEATOW PARTNERS s. r. o. after having left another local law firm (which was one of the Slovak corresponding counsels to Baker & McKenzie), where he worked for almost 12 years; for the most of the time, holding the position of partner. His previous professional career also includes work for the Bratislava office of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu as a lawyer at the tax and legal department and the Slovak branch of Czech & Slovak American Enterprise Fund (a venture capital fund funded by the U.S. Government) as a paralegal.
Branislav’s main areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, corporate matters and property development. He has counselled on numerous corporate transactions in several industrial sectors and on various greenfield and brownfield projects. He has extensive experience in advising on merger control issues and representing foreign companies in merger control notifications before the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic. He has also provided legal advice on many employment and labor law issues and various regulatory matters in sectors such as telecommunications, military trade, pharmaceuticals and health care.
